10/30/2024 I apologize for the lack of updates to MCA-Network. I initially was trying to distance myself from being associated with certain unhinged journalists and did not want to continue forward with updating the site for a period of time. Now that life and other priorities have taken full focus, I'm not sure where MCA-Network will go from here but I will continue to keep the idea alive for it's own sake. The sole discussion of cannabis culture and product in Massachusetts needs to revolve around somewhere other than Reddit. I am not allowed to participate in the subreddit, and to be quite honest, I don't really care to.
04/15/2024 The same user that has been leaving bits of information about the Jushi takeover of Nature's Remedy has made a post in /r/bostontreeparty fully outlining the entire situation, being unable to make the post in /r/bostontrees. discussion archive
03/22/2024 A user in /r/bostontrees made a post entailing how they were disappointed with product from "The Bank" -- another user chimes in with some solid information. They claim from personal experience that consumers should not smoke cannabis from this brand, as the company will knowingly sell contaminated cannabis to customers without concern for their safety. Specific accusations are made about Jushi's grow facility in Lakeville, Massachusetts, stating it is inundated with black mold. They allege Jushi uses auto-cure machines and green vault batchers that remain dirty from constantly running moldy and contaminated cannabis strains. The only way they pass lab tests is by using machines like "The Box" or "Yofumo" to sterilize just the samples being tested, while the untreated bulk product gets sold under names like "The Bank" brand, often through the dispensary Nature's Remedy. Unfortunately, the person states that NEA (Northeast Alternatives) shares the other side of that same grow facility, and within months of moving in, NEA dealt with an outbreak of hop latent viroid (HLV) and had to cull 5 flower rooms, which the person believes was caused by sharing space with the contaminated Jushi side of the facility discussion archive
03/15/2024 After the speculation of potential customer information being leaked, I decided to look a little further into my guess as to what it might be stemming from. It turns out that AlpineIQ really does have some IQ. Is it necessary to share ALL of this information with a third party? It's a whole different ballgame that they dish that data back out over JSON for absolutely no reason. It's one thing that they're collecting data and using it. That's a given, it's a third party rewards/analytics system. But this screams insecure to me, and could be the culprit if someone decided to abuse it. x post
03/15/2024 Following up on a previous story posted 02/07, Harbor House Collective and Greatest Hits Cannabis have come to a mutual settlement agreement and the case was voluntarily dismissed by HHC. x post
03/13/2024 Data harvesting big money advertiser (mahj) running /r/bostontrees subreddit asks the community for information on how dispensaries are able to harvest more info than his company currently is. The subreddit is known to be ran by a huge marketing team that also captures other related subreddits. This account hardly ever makes any actual posts, and if it does, the comments they make are super awkward and at best, hard to understand. This post makes me laugh. Of course they are interested. My guess? It's third party rewards/contact systems that are probably being exposed in some way. discussion archive

03/09/2024 A former employee of Ethos has come forward with several concerning claims about the company's business practices and work environment. The Eleven brand of vape cartridges allegedly uses 3-year-old trim and adds artificial terpenes while claiming they are from specific strains. The Eleven cart hardware is reported to be of poor quality, leaking into the mouthpiece. There have been major mold issues with Ethos' "Natural Selections" brand products. Managers lack knowledge about cannabis and often provide inaccurate information to customers. Employees are treated as "replaceable robots," with harsh punishment for minor issues like car troubles or illness. There is a "cutthroat" atmosphere, with constant policy changes, lack of job security, and gossip/information-sharing about employees. Mental health issues are not accommodated, leading to many employees leaving or being fired. Shockingly, one employee even had a seizure at the facility. There have been incidents of rats, lights being left on for days ruining product, and improper cleaning/maintenance. Expired or nearly expired Eleven brand products are allegedly still packaged and sold. discussion archive

02/07/2024 Greatest Hits Dispensary is being sued by Harbor House Collective over $56k dollars of unpaid wholesale product. Greatest Hits attempted to act on a payment plan but proceeded to also miss those payments leading to further action by HHC. Greatest Hits stuck out like a sore thumb on the accounts receivable database when MCA-Network leaked it. They were listed as having owed over $100k, and who knows what that might look like now. HHC also made $77k worth of payments for packaging product to G&E Printing, an Everett-based manufacturer of packaging materials but the company only provided $3,360 worth of product and they are also included in the lawsuit. article

02/01/2024 A grower within the commercial space shares a video of pest infestation on a marijuana clone from Boston Clone Co., expressing disappointment because this is the second time they've encountered the issue after the company claimed to be pest-free. They initially gave the benefit of the doubt, but now they believe the company is not concerned about the quality of their products. 02/01/2024 A customer purchased a Bailey's Buds "solventless live rosin" cartridge, and upon further inspection and usage, is obviously not live rosin. Label mentions the product being "full spectrum". LowKey dispensary in Dorchester refuses to return the unopened/unused cartridge “just because of preference”. Customer claims the product is disappointing, disgusting, and unusable. Another person has chimed in that this could be in fact "third press" live rosin resulting in darker and uglier color content and lower thc, showing that Bailey's extraction team is either uneducated or desperate to sell the product. discussion archive

01/31/2024 A concerned whistleblower has revealed alarming issues with the brands "Matter" and "Livwell" produced by Verilife. They claim that their products contain dangerous qualities such as mold, mildew, and other plant diseases. The plants are not properly flushed, and nutrients are still being fed until the harvest. Furthermore, the facility lacks proper cleaning standards, and there are constant leaks from air units, leading to the development of black mold near flowering plants. Dead bugs and various pests are also reported to be included in sent out product. (User deleted post and account within 12h of being acknowledged by MCA-Network) discussion archive
